A member of the Congregation of the Mission, the Vincentians, Fr. McCracken was ordained in 1982. He served as an associate pastor at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Phoenix, Arizona, before earning a Master of Arts in Theology (in the area of liturgical studies) at the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Liturgy Network of the Notre Dame Center for Pastoral Liturgy. Fr. McCracken joined the faculty of St. John’s Seminary College in 1987, where he served as chair of the Theology and Religious Studies Program, Director of Liturgy and a variety of other roles. He has presented liturgy workshops and lectures throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
