Dr. Mitchell’s doctoral dissertation is entitled, "Method and Theory in Joseph Maréchal’s Etudes sur la psychologie des mystiques." He has special interests in myth, ritual and spirituality and has studied at the John XXIII Center for Eastern Christian Studies. Dr. Mitchell is a member of the American Academy of Religion and Spiritual Directors International. He has served as chair of the philosophy program at St. John’s Seminary and is currently the director of the Pre-Theology program. In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Mitchell serves as adjunct faculty for the Archdiocesan Deacon formation program and is a spiritual director for the Archdiocesan Spirituality Center. |
