A Fullbright Scholar, Smith Mundt Graduate Research Scholar and member of the Alpha Mu Gamma Foreign Language Honor Society, Dr. Mordey wrote a doctoral dissertation focused on literary criticism of the Spanish Golden Age. As Director of the Language and Cultural Studies Program, Dr. Mordey received recognition for her efforts in an ATS Report on Globalization. A translator of travel books and films from English to Spanish, Dr. Mordey stays very busy. Dr. Mordey also contributes much of her time to Casa Hogar Santa Teresita in La Mesa, Mexico. She holds a California Jr. College Teaching Credential and a Junior College Student Services Credential.
