A member of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity (the Trinitarians), Fr. Owens has specialized in Hebrew Scripture and has taught at several colleges and seminaries in Maryland and Washington, D.C. Ministerially, his experience includes being a pastoral associate in New Jersey and Maryland, a prison chaplain in the Maryland Division of Correction, and Director of Novices for the United States Province of Trinitarians. He has written for Old Testament Abstracts, The Catholic Biblical Quarterly, Eerdman’s New Dictionary of the Bible, and is an ongoing exegete for Weekday Homily Helps published by St. Anthony Messenger Press. Currently, he is writing a commentary on Deuteronomy for the new Collegeville Bible Commentary pending from Liturgical Press.
